Working with timber, I was aiming at reflecting the properties and capabilities that this material can have by creating forms that convey a life aspect through light. These aspects can be something we feel, see or even experience. The 6 life aspects are Change, Optical Illusion, Anger, Growth, Skyline and Hope. By casting both artificial and natural light on to my models, the aspects are represented in one form or another. Conveying the fact that light plays a major role in architectural design and has a large effect onto the experience of the building.
